James Ray Pittman

Eyes opened December 26, 1933, the first to hold him was JM Pittman and Minnie Hutchinson, the parents, on the ground of Lockhart, Texas, the town of old souls and soil. His bloodline has been slowly dried out throughout the decades and has left him with a one and only blood member, Michael Pittman his nephew. What started as a job became a life commitment; Sabina Aguilar took James under her wing and created herself to be the voice for him, when he no longer possessed one. His care taker (Momma) Loida Ortiz has been by his side for the last 6 years, keeping him from deaths fingers and keeping Christ by his bedside with more than 15 years of adoption, James Pittman was taken into our family. Begin a part of this family, I, Veronica Rodriguez am proud to acknowledge James (Jimmy) as a supporter, a friend, a wise guy, and a family member of mine along with Magen Martinez, Mandy Martinez and Chloe Saldana into which we believed you would live forever. Thomas R. Montoya

Togetherness by Thomas R. Montoya Death is not at all. I have only slipped away into the next house. Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my name Tom/Monty. Speak to me with the same ease you always have. Laughed as we always laughed at the jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it always was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of my relative's mind because I am out of their sight? I am waiting for one of you to join me for eternity, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing has been lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better. Infinitely happier. We will be one together FOREVER. Dec. 23, 1987 Fairborn, Ohio 45324 Adapted from “Death is Not All” by Henry Scott Holland. Services for Mr. Montoya will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Aug. 7, 2015, with a viewing and fellowship beginning at 10 a.m. and services following at 11 a.m.
