Jose Cruz Jaimes Ramirez of Kyle, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the age of 71. He was born January 1, 1939 in Mexico, to Jose Cruz and Martha Celia (Ramiriez) Jaimes.

A devoted family man, Jose loved fishing and anything to do with horses. He enjoyed cooking with a passion, watching television and especially “western” movies.

His parents; wife, Anastasia Maria Jaimes; and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Jaimes preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, John Albert Jaimes and wife, Winn of Kyle, and Michael Barrera of Mexico; daughters, Nery Jaimes of Kyle, and Maria L. Rux and husband, Paul of Houston; sister, Silvia Garza of Austin; grandson, John Abert Jaimes, Jr.; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Jaimes; one nephew and three nieces.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 17, 2010, in the Pennington Memorial Chapel.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Morrison, Dr. Hays, Dr. Schop and Dr. Farenkamp for their kind care of Jose during his illness.
