Patsy Mallard
Pat (Patsy) Shipley Mallard went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was born July 18, 1937 in Hazel, KY. Her parents were William Hugh and Mary Amelia Shipley. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard (Rick) Mallard and her three children, Mary Ensign Bigham and husband Jim, Dan Mallard and wife Lindsay Mallard, and Doug Mallard and wife Jessica Youngs. 5 grandchildren survive: Tyler Ensign, Peyton Mallard, Alannah Mallard, Lucius Mallard and Aurora Mallard. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Weatherford and husband Max Weatherford (Murray, KY) and brother Billy Shipley (Hazel, KY) and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband of ten years, Larry Hosford.
Pat was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and longtime San Marcos, Texas, resident. She enjoyed attending church and was a member of the University Church of Christ. Additionally, she enjoyed quilting, antiques, bowling, collecting Santa Claus figures and watching and discussing sports (including her beloved San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Cowboys and Kentucky basketball). She played fantasy football and was a league champion. She dedicated herself to multiple charities throughout the years, most recently Meals on Wheels.
Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the University of Church of Christ in San Marcos, with Buddy Martin officiating. Interment to follow at the San Marcos City Cemetery.

I love Mrs. Mallard. i Always enjoyed talkeing to her and hearing how Doug and Dan were doing as well as Tyler. She was a very sweet person and am sad to hear. My condolences to Mr Mallard and family.
