Rachel Theresa St. Pierre Sindermann, 86, of Austin, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2012.

She was born on March 22, 1926, in North Adams, Mass., to Louis N. and Valeria Dumouchel St. Pierre. She married Robert P. Sindermann on July 21, 1951; he predeceased her on June 22, 2011. They moved to Texas in 1959, and in the 1970s and 1980s Rachel was a manager at the Gingerbread House Day Care Center in Austin.

Rachel is survived by her son, Robert Jr. and Lisbeth Goldberg of Arlington, Va.; daughter, Lisa Sindermann and Tracy Glass of Kyle, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was also predeceased by brothers Albert, Wilfred, and Arthur and sisters Bertha, Laura, and Rita.

Mrs. Sindermann was one of my favorite patients with House Call Doctors until she moved from her house after her husband’s death. I enjoyed visiting with both of them. I regret that I had not followed up with her – just to visit and check up – after her move. My sympathies to her family with whom I have only talked briefly on the phone in the past. Jill
