Tomas Margarito Parra of Martindale, Texas, affectionately known as “Lito”, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at the age of 73. He was born to Tomas Parra, Sr. and Romona (Zavala) Parra, on April 30, 1939, in Martindale, Texas.
His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Tillie G. Parra; three sons, Robert Parra, Rick Parra, and Rodney Parra and wife, Denyse; daughter, Norma Rodriguez and husband, Richard; five brothers, Jesse, Frank, Johnny, Tomas, Jr. and Enrique Parra; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lito played City League baseball for the Martindale Red Devils in the position of 2nd baseman. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 A.M., on Thursday.
